December 02/08   50 Cent Says Nas Is Finished
50 Cent
Nas threw a jab at 50 on his "Untitled" album saying "My assignment since he said retirement," referring to 50 saying he would retire if Kanye West outsold him last year, continuing "hiding behind 8 Mile and The Chronic, Gets rich, but dies rhymin, this is high science."

In the new issue of XXL Magazine, 50 Cent spoke on the shot, kind of. When asked about the rhyme on the song "Queens Get The Money," the G-Unit general first praised the rapper saying "Man, Nas is cold as ice. Nas is the block of ice that sunk the Titanic." Being 50, he did continue on by saying "I think he's at one of those points to where his career's finished, to be honest. He's had some great moments and made good music in the past, but he no longer has the interest of the general public or myself."

December 02/08   Is Kanye West Done With Rap?
Kanye West
With the release of his new auto-tune singing filled album, many rumors have started that Kanye West is done rapping, but are they true? The Observer newspaper quoted Kanye saying "hip-hop is over for me now" after a press conference in New Zealand [watch here] but Kanye quickly squashed that rumor.

"What does that mean," Ye' asked. "Hip-hop is over for me? I never said that." Kanye says the paper took him saying he didn't listen to rap at his apartment, out of text. "That quote is like so wrong," West responded. [watch here] "I never said that. I still listen to hip-hop in my car. I listen to old Wu-Tang or something while I’m designing and stuff like that. I really don’t listen to new hip-hop albums that come out like that. I really don’t learn the lyrics the way I used to learn the lyrics when I was 18 years old and stuff like that. Even albums like Lil Wayne‘s album, which I love, I couldn’t recite the raps for you. I’m just not in that position. Maybe I’m just busy. It disturbs me that they paraphrase me." [watch here]
